Durostone® Glass Reinforced Plastic Fasteners
Durostone®, the fiberglass reinforced plastic from Röchling is finding new applications in the construction of industrial plants. Durostone® consists of epoxy resin reinforced fabric and mat. The advantages over steel are:
- much lighter
- electrical & thermal insulators
- resistant to corrosion
- resistant to aggressive chemicals and gases
Applications include cooling towers, chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, manufacture of transformers and generators, switchgear, refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
